Zachary Heiskary, 31

Zachary John Heiskary, age 31, of Maple Lake, passed away on April 11, 2022.

Zach was born June 8, 1990, to Kathy Nagovsky (Heiskary) and Michael Nelson (Goding) in Buffalo, MN.

Since the day he was born, he has brought light and love to those around him. Zach’s sense of humor was valued by all who knew him. If you were feeling down, he had an uncanny way of lifting you up with his humor and making you laugh. He had the biggest, kindest heart and often went out of his way to help both friends and strangers alike.

Zach was also an amazing outdoorsman and was passionate about hunting and fishing. His happiest times were when he was surrounded by family, friends, and his beloved dog, Keelo, doing what he loved. All that knew Zach knew not to schedule anything on opening fishing or opening hunting, as he would be unavailable.

Zach’s absence leaves a hole that can never be filled, but we are forever grateful for the time we had and will hold on to the memories he has left behind.

Preceded in death by Grandma Marilyn, Grandma Jean, Grandpa “Papa” Tom, Aunt Renee, Aunt Louise, and his father, Michael.

Zach is survived by mother, Kathy (Ben) Nagovsky; Grandma Vicki; siblings; aunts and uncles; and several cousins.

Memorial service for Zach will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m., all at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, MN. Officiating will be Pastor Gerald Ernst. Private family interment to be held at a later date.

Arrangements were entrusted to The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, MN, 763-682-1363, www.thepetersonchapel.com.
