Duane Carlson, 80
Duane W. Carlson went home to be with his Heavenly Father on October 29, 2019 at the age of 80. He was born November 11, 1938 to John & Lucille in Canby.
He was a long-time resident of Monticello. Duane was an Independent Insurance Agent and used his business D.W. Carlson Agency as a ministry. He was also involved with the Gideons and Jail Ministry. Duane was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and farming on his hobby farm.
Duane is preceded in death by: his wife, Ernestine “Tina;” and son, Duane Jr.; parents, John and Lucille; sisters, Jeanette Sorbel and Linda Groven.
He is survived by: his three daughters, Diane Robar (Chuck), Denise Bosak (Brian), and Doreen Ogard; his brother, William; sister, Carole Wyman; and brother John (Marilyn); six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held at Peterson-Grimsmo Funeral Home 250 E. Broadway in Monticello, on November 1, 2019 with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life Luncheon was held after the service.
Arrangements were entrusted to Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel.
Russell Gruenhagen, 65
Russell Kenneth Gruenhagen, age 65, of Howard Lake passed away on October 28, 2019.
He was born July 26, 1954 in Cokato, to Kenneth and Helen (Uecker) Gruenhagen. He resided in Howard Lake nearly his entire life, being baptized and confirmed at St. James Lutheran Church and graduating from Howard Lake High School in 1972. Russell enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survived by: his siblings, Noreen (Don) Horsch, Garlen Gruenhagen, and Jane (Tom) Boesen; along with many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019 with visitation one hour prior to services at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Howard Lake.
Delores Steffens, 87
Delores M. Steffens, age 87, of St. Michael, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 2, 2019.
She was born on May 18, 1932 in St. Michael the daughter of Matthew and Mary (Kirscht) Dehmer.
On August 5, 1952, Delores M. Dehmer and Lloyd Steffens were joined in holy marriage. They enjoyed fifty years of marriage. God blessed their marriage with two sons.
She was a faithful, lifelong member of The St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael.
Delores was an avid and lucky bingo player. She enjoyed sewing, baking, puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. Delores especially loved to rock the babies.

Delores is survived by: children, Bruce (Joan) Steffens, of Brush Prairie, WA, and David (Pam) Steffens, of St. Michael; six grandchildren, Wendy (Jon) Hartinger, Derek (Saje) Steffens, Jayson Steffens, Chelsea Steffens, Sara Steffens and Hailey Steffens; four great-grandchildren: Peyton Hartinger, Quinn Hartinger, Mason Steffens and Ahna Steffens; siblings, Margie Robeck, of St. Michael, Alberta (Pat) Fitzsimmons, of Rogers, & Loren (Arlene) Dehmer, of St. Michael; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Lloyd Steffens; parents, Matthew and Mary Dehmer; sisters, Alice Steffens, Arlene Lindenfelser, Irma Perrault and Florence Kasper.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Delores Steffens was held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 6 at the St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. Father Peter Richards was the Celebrant. Interment St. Michael Cemetery. Gift bearers were the four granddaughters Wendy, Chelsea, Sara and Hailey. A visitation was held at the funeral home Tuesday, November 5 from 4-8 p.m. A Prayer Service was held at 7:30 p.m. Further visitation at the church was on Wednesday, November 6, one hour prior to Mass.
Casket Bearers were Derek Steffens, Jayson Steffens, Wayne Kasper, Mike Robeck, Joel Dehmer and Joseph Perrault.
