Jeanette Entinger, 76

Jeanette Esther Ruth (Tonsberg) Entinger died unexpectedly July 6, 2023, at Minnetonka Shores in Spring Park, MN. She was born February 5, 1947, in Cokato, MN, the daughter of Theodore and Esther (Scott) Tonsberg. She was baptized in Christ at Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato, MN.

Jeanette graduated as valedictorian from Howard Lake High School, Class of 1965.  Following graduation, Jeanette attended the University of Minnesota - Morris, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Spanish. She married LeRoy Entinger on May 27, 1972, and settled in Waverly, MN, where they raised their three sons. She worked for Travelers Insurance and Green Giant, but her favorite jobs were farming, raising her sons, and cooking. She was a loyal and active member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1901, Order of the Eastern Star, and St. John’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and preparing meals for church functions.

Jeanette loved animals, especially her kitties, listening to music with Elvis Presley’s gospels being her favorite. She also loved finding a deal, couponing, and never missing a garage sale. After moving to Minnetonka Shores, she enjoyed activities such as gardening and visiting with her neighbors over many cups of coffee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Esther Tonsberg; brothers, Marlyn, Roger, and Donald; infant sister; brother-in-law, Charles Rodd; niece, Tamara Tonsberg; and nephew, Scott Tonsberg. 

Jeanette is survived by her husband, LeRoy; sons, Brian (Jodie) Entinger, of Mound, David (Jamie) Entinger, of Montrose, and Robert Entinger (friend-Becky), of Escanaba, MI; grandchildren, Carter, Ellie, Jack, and Jillian; great-granddaughter, Hannah; sister, Doris Rodd, of Mound; sister-in-law, Delores Tonsberg, of Maple Plain; nieces, Jeanne Prok and April Tonsberg; nephews, Jeff Rodd, Jon Rodd, and Steven Tonsberg.

A service of remembrance will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 22, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Howard Lake, MN. Marla Frach, 86

Marla Maryann Frach, age 86, of Delano, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023. She was born August 29, 1936, to Felix and Mary (Blackowiak) Ramola in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Marla was united in marriage to Edward Thomas Frach on February 9, 1957, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Delano, Minnesota, and to this union they were blessed with five children.

Marla grew up on a farm in Lyndale, MN. This is where she learned how to work hard and how to care for other people.

Marla made her career in nursing. She served for 31 years as a public health care nurse for Wright County Health Services. Upon retirement, she went to work at Dundee nursery in Hamel, where she got to use her Master gardener skills. Marla was active in her church, serving in many ways. She was active with the Catholic Order of Foresters, Delano Historical Society, Delano Senior Center, Board member of the Dells Place, Member of the Arboretum and Horticulture Society of Wright County, as well as the Delano American Legion Post #377 Auxiliary. 

Marla loved to spend time with her family and attending to her flower garden. She also looked forward to the family vacations in northern Minnesota, where she would go fishing with family. Marla loved spending time with her grandchildren by taking them to the Minnesota state fair, zoo, and the arboretum.

Marla was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; brother-in-law, Dan Chenowith; parents, Felix and Mary Ramola. 

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Bob) Sonenstahl, Michael (Julie Gilb) Frach, Stephanie Frach, Randy (Susan Smykalski) Frach, Rhonda (Roberto ) Frach Pantila; nine grandchildren, Lisa Sonenstahl, Tony (Laura) Sonenstahl, Aaron (Jessica) Frach, Heather (Ben) Hartman, Jessica (Keith) Butcher, Megan (Nick) Koecheler, Kelly (Nick) May, Jared (Jessica) Frach, Raquell  Pantila; 22 great-grandchildren, Cole, Bennett, Brennen, Cooper, Stella, Madison, James, Oliver, Kylie, Brooke, Bentley, Joslyn, Addaley, Braylon, Deacon, Emmett, Henry, Hudson, Kailynn, Hailey, Sophia, Winifred; siblings and their spouses Phil (Eileen) Ramola, Monica Ramola, Joseph (Dorothy Griep) Ramola, Barbara Chenoweth; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour before service at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, St. Peter’s campus in Delano, Minnesota.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday; with a 4:30 p.m. rosary service and a 7 p.m. prayer service in St. Martha’s Hall of the St. Peter campus in Delano, Minnesota. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Delano, Minnesota.

Muriel Tiernan, 89

Muriel Marie Tiernan, age 89, of Albertville, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at The Engel Haus.

 She was born on December 14, 1933, in Monticello, the daughter of Matthew and Cornelia (McNeil) Dahlheimer. Muriel was a lifelong, faithful member of St. Albert’s Catholic Church in Albertville.

On July 3, 1954, Muriel Dahlheimer and Kenneth Tiernan were joined in holy matrimony at St. Albert’s Catholic Church in Albertville. God blessed their marriage with seven children. Muriel was very involved in her community. She was a member of Christian Mothers. Muriel was also a school bus driver for forty-two years. She enjoyed her special dog, Phoebe, rescuing cats, puzzles, collecting rocks, adoration, playing cards, gardening, sitting outside, visiting, reading, laughing, ice cream, playing games with little children, crafting, watching Hockey, and car rides.

 Muriel is survived by children, Raeann Eull, of St. Michael, Randy (Margie) Tiernan, of Andover, Rick Tiernan, of San Francisco, CA, Rollie (Renae) Tiernan, of Otsego, Roger (Anne) Tiernan, of Buffalo, Ron Tiernan, of Albertville, and Russ (Jenny) Tiernan, of Rice; grandchildren, Kurt Eull, Brent Eull, Mark Eull, Karla Engstrom, Beth Whittenburg, Stephanie Hanson, Kari Tiernan, Sgt. 1st Class Matthew Tiernan, Elicia Gaudette, Vince Tiernan, Jack Tiernan, Mya Tiernan, Zoe Tiernan, Eli Tiernan, Ava Tiernan, Chelsea Haarmann, Brody Tiernan, and Alyssa Tiernan; great-grandchildren, Max, Macy, Myles, Aiden, Gavin, Colton, Emilie, Jolie, Alyse, Jayden, Jayse, Brooke, Hailey, Callen, Ella, Alexander, Hayden, Giuliana, Mason, Wyatt, and Lincoln; sisters, LaVonne Martinez and Gwen Chamberlin; many other relatives and friends.

 Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Tiernan; son-in-law, James Eull; daughter-in-law, Carla Tiernan; grandsons, Ricky Sparks and Isaac Tiernan; parents; brothers, Wilbur and Merle Dahlheimer; sisters, Shirley Dahlheimer, Arlene Hoglund, Irma Vetsch, Phyllis Greninger, and Ingrid Manro.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Muriel Tiernan was held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Albert’s Catholic Church in Albertville. Visitation was at the church on Monday, July 17, from 4-7 p.m.  A Rosary was recited at 7 P.M. Further visitation was one hour prior to Mass.

Casket Bearers were Kurt Eull, Brent Eull, Mark Eull, Vince Tiernan, Jack Tiernan, Eli Tiernan, and Brody Tiernan.
