Bradley Taylor, 64

Bradley P. Taylor, age 64, born November 26, 1958, and died June 4, 2023, after a brave and valiant fight against cancer.

Brad was born in Minneapolis, MN, to Jim and Ardys Taylor. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Brad graduated from Delano High School and worked in many different jobs until he found his true calling in life and that was cooking. Brad worked at Cokato Charitable Trust Nursing Home where he enjoyed cooking for his residents. He also did a good job of keeping his family fed with desserts and meals.

During Brad’s cancer journey, a lot of people touched his life with visits, pep talks, cards, and letters. For that, we thank you. A sincere thank you to Pastor Barlow and Diana Maass.

Thank you to the Frauenshuh Cancer Center and staff, Dr. Chen, Dr. Illig, Dr. Nordberg, Dr. Baggenos, and the staff at 5 West.

Brad is survived by his brothers, Steve (Caroline) Taylor, Curt Taylor, Greg (Rhonda) Taylor, all of Delano; nephews, Jim (fiancé, Alexis, and her daughter, Lily), Josh, Jake (girlfriend, Isabel), and Joe; niece, Tricia (special friend, Harley) (their children, Tayah, Dillon, and Lincoln Hinz); other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, James and Ardys Taylor; and nephew, Michael.

A memorial service for Brad Taylor was held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rockford. 

A visitation was held one hour prior to services at the church.

Memorials can be made to the Frauenshuh Cancer Center.

Sunday Waibel, 78

Sunday Ann Waibel (Leseman), age 78, of Buffalo, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. She was born on December 31, 1944, in Mizpah, MN, the daughter of Russell “Rusty” and Ann (Donaldson) Leseman. After graduation, she worked in the drug store in Northome, MN, for a year before moving to Minneapolis, MN, where she worked for 10 years for MN Farmers Mutual Insurance Company. She met her husband, Tom, at work, and they were married on May 27, 1972. They moved to Buffalo in 1974 when their oldest son, Aaron, was three months old. In 1977, they were blessed with another son, Ryan. Sunday was a stay-at-home mom until 1988 when she started working for School District 877 in food service. She had to retire in 2000 due to her health. 

She enjoyed her family very much and getting together with friends, trips to Branson, cars, and Bingo. She was a faithful member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo.

Sunday is survived by her sons, Aaron Thomas Waibel, of Buffalo, and Ryan Andrew (fiancée, Brianna) Waibel, of Annandale; a granddaughter, Abigail; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Waibel in 1989; her parents; a brother, “Billy” Leseman; and by a sister-in-law, Donna (Olson) Leseman; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles Sr. and Mary (Stadick) Waibel; her grandparents; several aunts; uncles; cousins; a niece and a nephew.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Sunday Waibel will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 11 A.M. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Buffalo. Father Nathaniel Meyers will be the Celebrant. A visitation will be held AT THE CHURCH on Saturday, June 17, one hour prior to Mass. The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo is serving the family.
