Most hunting groups report good success and they're seeing plenting of deer. The very small bays hav eice on them, while the main bodies of most lakes were open or had a thin layer of ice as of Tuesday morning. A few ducks still being taken. Little Jim's Bait (320) 274-5297
With a lack of anglers and skim ice taking hold on many small bays and ponds, there isn't anything to report on the local fishing scene. Most boats also have been put away and are now waiting for ice to form. Good luck to all the deer hunters! Little Jim's Bait (320) 274-5297

Minnows are now the ticket for walleyes on Clearwater Lake, Lake Sylvia, and Big Swan Lake in 12 to 18 feet. Sunfish action has slowed, but some crappies are being found suspended over 15 to 20 feet at Clearwater, Sylvia, and Sugar Lake. Duck hunters continue to find local mallards, geese, and wood...
A jig and minnow or crankbaits are producing walleyes in 10 to 18 feet on Big Swan Lake, Clearwater Lake, and Lake Sylvia. Look for sunfish and crappies in 15 to 20 feet on Sylvia, while northern pike and largemouth bass remain active on the 12 to 16 foot weed edges of most lakes. Little Jim's Bait...
A few walleyes are being taken with minnows on Clearwater Lake and Lake Sylvia from the weed lines out to 24 feet. Sunfish are also going on Sylvia and Clearwater in 10 to 12 feet, while crappie reports have been slow. Look for northern pike and largemouth bass on the weed lines of most lakes. Duck...
Clearwater Lake is ginving up a few walleyes on minnows or crawlers in 16 to 20 feet. Look for sunfish on Maple Lake, Pleasant Lake, Sugar Lake, and Clearwater Lake along the 15 to 20 foot weed edges. Clearwater, Pleasant, Lake John, and Granite Lake have been best for crappies over 15 to 18 feet....
A jig and minnow or spinners and crawlers are producing a few walleyes on Clearwater Lake in 10 to 15 feet and Big Swan Lake in 15 to 22 feet.
